At our Card Making meetings we make blank greeting cards for congregational care, deployed heroes, veterans, their caregivers, and senior residents of an assisted living facility. Soldiers' Angels sends handmade blank greeting cards for deployed heroes to use to keep in touch with the homefront. They take cards to the VA Hospital in Vancouver and distribute You Are Special Books during their Stand Down dinners and to Fisher House.
We host Card Making at Brookdale Senior Living at Fishers Landing. We can always be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
When coming to Card Making, bring double-sided tape or a tape runner for adhering the pieces of card kits and scissors for trimming. Everyone is welcome. No cost and no experience necessary. Come and enjoy the fellowship of other card makers.
On the third Monday, March 20th, we will meet with residents of Brookdale Senior Living at Fisher's Landing at 1 p.m. at 17171 S. E. 22nd Drive. We will sign birthday cards for residents who have birthdays in the next month. Also assemble AnyVeteran and caregiver cards for Soldiers' Angels to distribute. Another project of Soldiers' Angels is called The Serenity Project. Hand made books are distributed to children of homeless or hospitalized veterans. There are kits available for assembly of the You Are Special hand made books.
