Let no one despise your youth,

but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

-1Timothy 4:12

The East Woods Youth Ministry provides a variety of opportunities for middle and high school students to learn and grow in their faith and knowledge of God, build meaningful and lasting relationships with peers and adults, and participate in service projects that transform our community and our world.

Youth Group

Wednesday, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

East Woods Presbyterian Youth Group is a great night of building friendships, growing in faith, studying the Bible together, playing games, singing songs, and talking about life in small groups.

Wednesday night Youth Group will be offered specifically for middle school and high school students, and it will continue to be led by an outstanding and experienced group of Christian adults.

These Youth Group gatherings connect students around conversations related to them, the God of the Bible, and their personal journeys with God. We’ll also have fun games and activities and great worship music.

Wednesday Nights 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

"Connecting Time"

Sunday Mornings from 9:00 - 9:45 a.m.

East Woods' Sunday morning worship service is at 10:00am. We invite you to join us during this community time of worship.

At 9:00am you are invited for Connecting Time to mingle with others around a mug of coffee or cocoa, a cookie, and a conversation in the Gathering Area before heading to the Youth Room for Sunday School.

Starting Fall '19 we will have Sunday School from 9:00-9:50am in the Youth Room.

Worship Service

Sunday Morning 10am

We believe that worship services are an important part of growing and maturing as Christian disciples. And, we think middle school and high school students will not only be enriched by this experience but that it will be a blessing to the whole congregational family to have the students participating in East Woods' morning worship service.

Helping Those in Need

As youth here at East Woods, we accept our calling to be Disciples of Christ, and enjoy participating in serving our community.  Souper Bowl of Caring is a national event that empowers youth and unites communities around the time of the Big Game to help those in need.

This year (2018), we decided to direct this collection at a longer term solution, rather than providing a single meal.  Daybreak Youth Services is an organization dedicated to helping youth (ages 12-18) with addiction and other mental health issues. Because addiction and mental health issues can be closely tied to long term homelessness and hunger, we feel very strongly we can make a big impact by giving to Daybreak.  Daybreak has an inpatient facility in Brush Prairie, and an outpatient facility in Vancouver.
