Ash Wednesday Service

Wednesday, February 26 | 12 (noon)

Join us for this short service of worship that begins the season of Lent. Ash Wednesday focuses our hearts on repentance and prayer as we journey toward Easter and the resurrection of our Lord and Savior.

This service includes Scripture, prayer, music, and the imposition of ashes. We hope that you will join us.

A Celebration of Pastors

Sunday, March 1, AFTER SERVICE

We will be celebrating the return of Pastor Bill Sperry as he steps back into the role of our Pastor after almost a year of military deployment and a well-deserved sabbatical.

We will also be thanking Pastor Brian Craker for his shepherding during Pastor Bill's absence. Both pastors will preside over a Communion Service at 10:00am, followed by a celebration that includes appetizers and a "Welcome Back" program.

Women's Retreat

March 6-8, 2019

The 2020 EWPC Women's Retreat is here.  This year the East Woods women will gather at the Heathen Estate at 9400 NE 134th Street, Vancouver, the weekend of March 8-10.

Our program theme focuses on "Parables."  With the use of metaphors and symbolic imagery, Parables convey complex moral truths that are readily understandable and relatable to one's life and those around us.  During the program, we will create and share Parables to communicate the Gospel message to those in need.

If you attend, a fun, meaningful, and engaging weekend awaits you.  More importantly, you get to spend time with extraordinary women from East Woods.  We hope you will join us.

You have two options to attend:

  1. Stay at the beautiful Heathen Estate for two nights (bedding provided) with five meals and the Parables program for $125. We find value staying the entire weekend with our sisters-in-Christ. It's incredible how brushing your teeth with others help you to become better friends. J
  2. Sleep in your home and attend at the Heathen Estates with five meals and the Parables Program for $100.  We appreciate that some sleep better in their beds than with a group in shared facilities.

The sign-up sheets are in the church narthex.  If you don't have an opportunity to sign-up or have additional questions, please reach out to:  Peggy Konzek or Gwen Wagner.

Scholarships are available. Ask Peggy or Gwen.
