Prayer Shawl Ministry

Our prayer shawl group meets to hand craft beautiful, one-of-a-kind shawls that we gift to bless others within our community.

And we have lots of fun while we’re at it!

What's it all about?

Shawls are given as a tangible expression of God's love and blessed with prayers so the ones who receive them may be "cradled in hope, kept in joy, graced with peace, and wrapped in love, in good as well as difficult times."

We gift these handcrafted shawls to hospitals, friends and relatives in need.

How can I volunteer?

Join us for conversation and a fun time knitting and crocheting prayer shawls for those in need.

Everyone is welcome!

No experience necessary – we’ll show you how!

How else can i contribute?

It costs around $25 to for yarn to make a shawl.

You can purchase a gift card to a store that sells yarn – such as JoAnn’s or Michael’s – or consider a financial donation for supplies.

Any amount is welcome!

I'm In ... when do you meet?

We gather on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays from 1:00PM-3:00PM at the church.

May God’s Grace be upon these shawls ...

Warming, comforting …

enfolding and embracing.

May these mantles be a safe haven …

a sacred place of security and well-being …

Sustaining and embracing in good times,

as well as difficult ones.
